The Link project garnered overwhelming public approval at the public engagement meeting at the San Antonio public library downtown on Tuesday, Nov. 14th. In attendance were Tommy Calvert, Bexar County Precinct 4 commissioner, Shaun Donovan, Manager of Environmental Sciences with the San Antonio River Authority, Vickrey & Associates, Ford, Powell & Carson, and other stakeholders. This innovative project will create a pedestrian connection between the River Walk and the San Pedro Creek Culture Park north of Martin St.

Vickrey’s conceptual design includes beautifully blended amenities including water runnels with fog bubblers, a small amphitheater, art and monument display areas, a jogging path, exercise areas, water features, and a grand plaza event space.  The Link will provide a destination for the entire community to enjoy and will spur increased economic development.

This is a video of what The Link would look like after receiving positive public input this past Tuesday.
